BAY AREA OVERHEAD - OUR STORY

The Back Story...
Bay Area Overhead is family owned and operated and has been for close to 20 years. My grandfather, Dave Pettitt, started this business with his brother-in-law, Stan Simonson, in the late 90s when he retired from GM. It was originally called S+D Siding and Door. They worked together for a handful of years until Stan moved to Minnesota. My aunt, Pam Haley, then began helping her dad and the business was renamed Bay Area Overhead. My grandfather has since retired from garage door work as well, and running a business single-handedly wasn't easy for my aunt. So my husband and I took over in 2015. 
The Owners...
I grew up in Elkton, MD, graduated from The Tome School in North East, met my husband, Jerome Lipka, while I was in college, married and bought a house on Old Field Point. Jerome is originally from the small town of Marengo, Wisconsin. He moved here when he was sixteen. He is very mechanically inclined and can fix just about anything. (lucky us!) He has done work in the electric field, home demolition and remodel, HVAC and auto mechanics. 
The Business...
This company was started by a man who believed in hard and honest work. He never settled for anything less than great quality work. He was the kind of man who would visit with his customers while he worked and would accept a picnic table as payment from a customer who couldn't afford to pay him. Today we have the same values that my grandfather did when he started. We believe in honesty and high quality work, and we treat each customer like family.
